Finding your place in the legal field
Youssef Badr and Wesley Guinet
For our third conference, Youssef Badr (First Deputy Vice-President of the Bobigny Judicial Court and President of the association La Courte Échelle) and Wesley Guinet (student at INSP, ex ENA) presented their respective careers and their advice on the multiple ways one can approach his or her legal career.
This workshop aimed to guide the legal leadership trainees towards finding their place in a competitive legal field. Law students are often exclusively exposed to a specific conception of a "legal career", involving prestigious law schools, numerous internships and positions in top law firms. However, this path, which may not be adapted to all students), is not the only option ! As such, the conference included discussions as to the multifarious ways in which one can pursue law.
Both also work tirelessly to eliminate discrimination against minorities within the profession. As such, the speakers illuminated the ways to overcome the hurdles that these students face.
